Oxford Street Font

Oxford Street is a distinctive signage sans serif typeface inspired by the street nameplates used in Westminster, Central London since 1967. Originally designed by the Design Research Unit based on Adrian Frutiger’s Univers typeface, K-Type refined and redeveloped the font to create a monolinear alphabet ideal for legibility and clarity in signage applications. The typeface combines strong structural geometry with refined proportions, featuring a complete lowercase set with characteristic details such as a curled-foot L, double-junctioned K, and shortened terminals for enhanced openness. Its extensive Latin Extended-A character set makes it versatile for multilingual typography while maintaining excellent readability across varying scales and contexts.
